N.O.C

Creator: Mike "Mendoza" Grant
Date: Around December 1994

This is a mix tape that was made for me as a Christmas present when I was living in London, 1994. It was put together by Mike "Mendoza" Grant, a film production designer I was working for at the time.

The cover is a S & M mistresses calling card, one of thousands to be found in phone booths around London at the time. The N.O.C stands for "Nice one Chates" the favourite saying of a Scouser we were both working with on a B grade Sci-fi film in East London at the time.

Nick Cave and PJ Harvey classics meet poppier REM and the Lemonheads. The tapes more magical moments are to be found in Wendall Austin's classic "LSD" (on side A) and Elvis Hitler bringing the pints and bacchanalia with "10 Wheels for Jesus" - an absolute ripper of a tune!
