I can't say I knew Michelle all that well. I did not relate to her life at all except sharing some similar musical tastes.

She was in possession of a rare 7" of a country/punk band that I loved called the Geraldine Fibbers. It had three b-sides that I was dying to hear. So she taped them for me as part of this mixtape. For weeks this tape was all I listened to, the Geraldine Fibbers tracks are gold and it was the first time I had heard of great bands like Red House Painters, Seaville and Tarnation. At the end of each side are cute kids songs.

I hold on to this tape because it was one of the nicest things anyone has given me. I don't know what ever happened to Michelle, 10 years ago her life was spinning out of control, I hope she is well.
